IDOWS Apex is a software engineering company in Lahore, Pakistan that provides Drupal developers on a project, dedicated-developer or dedicated-team basis. Drupal suits organizations with complex content models, granular permissions and multilingual requirements. Our Drupal developers build custom modules and themes on modern Drupal, run headless builds, and plan migrations from Drupal 7 and other end-of-life versions. Clients interview each developer before they join.
Why hire our Drupal developers

Drupal migrations

$nids = db_query(
"SELECT nid FROM {node} WHERE type = 'article'"
)->fetchCol();$nids = \Drupal::entityQuery('node')
->condition('type', 'article')
->accessCheck(TRUE)
->execute();There is no single rate for Drupal developers. Cost depends on the seniority you need, the engagement model you choose (adding developers to your team, a dedicated team, or a fixed-price project), how long the engagement runs and the scope of the work. For Drupal work, the biggest drivers are the complexity of the content model, the number of custom modules to build or rewrite, whether a Drupal 7 migration is involved, multilingual or multisite requirements, and whether the frontend is decoupled. Share your requirements and we will come back with a quote for your situation.
You tell us the technology, seniority, role and team structure you need. We recommend Drupal developer profiles that match those requirements, and you review the profiles and speak with the engineers yourself before anyone joins your team. When you interview, the areas worth testing are content types, fields, entity references and Paragraphs design; writing custom modules with services, plugins and event subscribers; configuration management with Drush and Config Split; migrate API source, process and destination plugins; cache tags, contexts and render caching; and twig theming and preprocess functions.
It depends on which engineers with the right skills are available when you get in touch, so we do not publish a fixed start date. Availability is part of the conversation when we recommend profiles, and the start date is agreed with you before the engagement begins.
Because you interview the engineers before anyone joins, fit is tested before work starts. If concerns come up once the engagement is running, raise them with us directly. How changes to the team are handled is set out in the terms you agree with us at the start.
A freelancer suits small, well-defined tasks you can manage yourself. A dedicated developer joins your team under your direction. A dedicated team adds several roles around your product, and a project-based team delivers a defined outcome end to end.
They work in your time zone or with a meaningful overlap agreed up front, and inside your own tools and process: Slack or Teams, Jira, GitHub or GitLab, your standups, sprint planning and code review.
Drupal 7 is end of life, so the realistic options are migrating to modern Drupal or moving to another platform. We audit your content model and custom modules and recommend the route with the lowest risk and cost.
We start from how content is reused rather than how pages look: content types with structured fields, taxonomy for classification and entity references for relationships. Paragraphs or Layout Builder give editors flexible page composition while the underlying content stays structured for search, APIs and translation.
Yes. Drupal core includes JSON:API, which exposes entities with filtering, sorting and includes without custom endpoints, and GraphQL is available as a contributed module. Drupal still handles editorial workflow, permissions and revisions while the frontend is deployed separately.
Drupal's render cache uses cache tags, contexts and max-age, so when content changes only the affected output is invalidated. Internal Page Cache and Dynamic Page Cache handle anonymous and authenticated traffic, and a reverse proxy or CDN can purge by cache tag.
The core Workflows and Content Moderation modules define states such as draft, in review and published, with transitions restricted by role. Combined with revisions and scheduled publishing, this gives regulated or multi-team organizations a clear approval trail without custom code.
