IDOWS Apex is a software engineering company in Lahore, Pakistan that provides WordPress developers on a project, dedicated-developer or dedicated-team basis. They build custom themes, Gutenberg blocks, plugins, WooCommerce stores and headless WordPress, and take over existing sites that need speed, security or update work. Clients interview each developer before they join.

WordPress performance & security

// Unbounded query, unescaped input
query_posts('posts_per_page=-1');
echo $_GET['s'];// Bounded WP_Query, escaped output $q = new WP_Query(['posts_per_page' => 20]); echo esc_html(sanitize_text_field(wp_unslash($_GET['s'] ?? '')));
There is no single rate for WordPress developers. Cost depends on the seniority you need, the engagement model you choose (adding developers to your team, a dedicated team, or a fixed-price project), how long the engagement runs and the scope of the work. For WordPress work, the biggest drivers are whether the site needs a custom block theme or works within an existing one, the number of custom blocks and content types, how many plugins must be replaced or integrated, and whether the build is headless. Share your requirements and we will come back with a quote for your situation.
You tell us the technology, seniority, role and team structure you need. We recommend WordPress developer profiles that match those requirements, and you review the profiles and speak with the engineers yourself before anyone joins your team. When you interview, the areas worth testing are block theme structure, theme.json and the Site Editor; building static and dynamic Gutenberg blocks with block.json; custom post types, taxonomies and meta field design; plugin security: nonces, capabilities, sanitizing and escaping; diagnosing slow queries and asset bloat with Query Monitor; and headless delivery with the REST API or WPGraphQL. Once you choose the engineers, they are connected to your tools, processes and workflows before they start contributing.
It depends on which engineers with the right skills are available when you get in touch, so we do not publish a fixed start date. Availability is part of the conversation when we recommend profiles, and the start date is agreed with you before the engagement begins.
Because you interview the engineers before anyone joins, fit is tested before work starts. If concerns come up once the engagement is running, raise them with us directly. How changes to the team are handled is set out in the terms you agree with us at the start.
A freelancer suits small, well-defined tasks you can manage yourself. A dedicated developer joins your team under your direction. A dedicated team adds several roles around your product, and a project-based team delivers a defined outcome end to end.
Yes. Our team is based in Lahore, Pakistan and works remotely with clients in other countries. Engineers work in your time zone or with a meaningful overlap agreed up front, using your tools such as Slack or Teams, Jira and GitHub.
Corporate and marketing websites, content-heavy publishing sites, membership and learning platforms, headless CMS builds for React and Next.js frontends, multisite networks for brands or regions, and performance and security rescues.
Yes. We build block or classic themes, custom Gutenberg blocks and custom plugins, rather than stacking page builders and add-ons. Plugins use nonces, capability checks, sanitized input and escaped output, and are checked against the WordPress Coding Standards with PHPCS.
Yes. We build integrations through the WordPress REST API and WPGraphQL, connect WordPress to external platforms through custom plugins, and run headless builds where WordPress manages content behind a Next.js frontend.
We can work with existing Elementor or other builder sites, but for new builds we recommend custom blocks. They are faster, easier to maintain and do not lock your content into a third-party plugin.
WooCommerce runs as a plugin on your own WordPress installation, so you control the code, data and hosting, and you are also responsible for hosting, updates and plugin compatibility. Shopify is a hosted platform that runs the infrastructure and checkout for you, with customization through themes, apps and checkout extensions. WooCommerce tends to suit stores that need deep custom logic or close integration with WordPress content; Shopify suits teams that would rather not manage hosting. We will look at your catalog and requirements before recommending either.
Most break because they rely on classic shortcode checkout hooks or template overrides, while newer stores use the block-based Cart and Checkout. Block checkout ignores many classic hooks, so durable customizations use the Store API, the checkout block extension points and additional checkout fields rather than copied templates that drift from core.
Stripe, PayPal, Square, Braintree, Adyen, Klarna and most regional providers have WooCommerce extensions, and a custom gateway class can be written where none exists. Key checks are block checkout support, saved-card tokenization for subscriptions, webhook handling for asynchronous payments and correct refund flows.
Yes. Role-based or customer-specific price lists, tiered quantity pricing, tax-exempt accounts, minimum order rules and request-a-quote flows can be added through established extensions or custom code. The main design decision is where price rules live, so that cart, checkout and invoices always agree on the same figure.
Stock sync works best with one system as the source of truth and changes pushed through queued jobs rather than on page load. Action Scheduler or a message queue handles retries, webhooks report order events outward, and scheduled reconciliation catches drift, so overselling is avoided even when the ERP is briefly unreachable.
It can with the right setup: high-performance order storage, proper hosting, object caching and careful plugin choices. We will assess your catalog and traffic and tell you whether WooCommerce or another platform is the better fit.
High-performance order storage moves orders out of the WordPress posts tables into dedicated order tables. The work is checking that every plugin declares HPOS compatibility, replacing custom code that reads orders through post meta with the WooCommerce CRUD methods, running compatibility-mode sync, and verifying reports and integrations before switching the authoritative store.
We reproduce the issue on a staging copy, then use Query Monitor, error logs and selective plugin deactivation to isolate the cause. Conflicts often come from two plugins filtering the same price, tax or shipping hook, so the fix is usually adjusting hook priority or replacing one plugin rather than patching both.
Yes. Our WooCommerce developers build and extend stores with custom checkout flows, B2B pricing, subscriptions and integrations with ERP, inventory and shipping systems, and fix what slows stores down as catalogs and order volumes grow.
Yes. We migrate sites from other CMS platforms to WordPress, carrying content across into custom post types and fields, and we take over existing WordPress sites that need updates, speed or security work.
Updates are applied on a staging copy first, checked against key pages and forms, then deployed. Minor core security releases can update automatically, while major versions and plugin updates are reviewed. Version control and WP-CLI make the process repeatable and easy to roll back.
Yes. We profile the site to find what is actually slow, typically plugins, unoptimized images, heavy themes or database queries, and fix those rather than just adding another caching plugin.
Yes. You retain ownership of the source code we write for you, so changing supplier later does not mean starting again. Ownership is set out in the agreement you sign with us at the start of the engagement.
