Our Shopify developers go beyond installing a theme. They build custom Online Store 2.0 themes, private and public apps, checkout extensions and Hydrogen headless storefronts, and connect Shopify to the ERP, inventory and marketing systems your business depends on.
Tell us a little about your requirements and our team will get back to you.
IDOWS Apex is a software engineering company in Lahore, Pakistan that provides Shopify developers on a project, dedicated-developer or dedicated-team basis. Our Shopify developers go beyond installing a theme. They build custom Online Store 2.0 themes, private and public apps, checkout extensions and Hydrogen headless storefronts, and connect Shopify to the ERP, inventory and marketing systems your business depends on. Clients interview each developer before they join.
Why hire our Shopify developers

Most stores get better value from a well-built Online Store 2.0 theme. Hydrogen is recommended only when a brand needs experiences a Liquid theme cannot deliver.
Presentation lives in theme sections and blocks; anything that stores data, reacts to webhooks or talks to other systems is built as an app, so it survives redesigns and can be tested.
Products, customers, orders and URLs move with proper redirects, and custom functionality is rebuilt as Shopify apps or theme features.

{% endpaginate %}There is no single rate for Shopify developers. Cost depends on the seniority you need, the engagement model you choose (adding developers to your team, a dedicated team, or a fixed-price project), how long the engagement runs and the scope of the work. For Shopify work, the biggest drivers are whether the store needs a custom theme or adapts an existing one, how much checkout and discount logic requires extensions or Functions, whether the store is on Plus, and whether a headless Hydrogen build is in scope. Share your requirements and we will come back with a quote for your situation.
You tell us the technology, seniority, role and team structure you need. We recommend Shopify developer profiles that match those requirements, and you review the profiles and speak with the engineers yourself before anyone joins your team. When you interview, the areas worth testing are building Online Store 2.0 sections, blocks and theme app extensions; replacing checkout.liquid customizations with checkout UI extensions; writing a Shopify Function for discounts or delivery customization; using the GraphQL Admin API with bulk operations and rate limits; handling webhooks reliably with verification and idempotency; and choosing between a Liquid theme and a Hydrogen headless storefront.
It depends on which engineers with the right skills are available when you get in touch, so we do not publish a fixed start date. Availability is part of the conversation when we recommend profiles, and the start date is agreed with you before the engagement begins.
Because you interview the engineers before anyone joins, fit is tested before work starts. If concerns come up once the engagement is running, raise them with us directly. How changes to the team are handled is set out in the terms you agree with us at the start.
A freelancer suits small, well-defined tasks you can manage yourself. A dedicated developer joins your team under your direction. A dedicated team adds several roles around your product, and a project-based team delivers a defined outcome end to end.
They work in your time zone or with a meaningful overlap agreed up front, and inside your own tools and process: Slack or Teams, Jira, GitHub or GitLab, your standups, sprint planning and code review.
Yes. We migrate products, customers, orders and URLs with proper redirects so you keep your search rankings, and rebuild any custom functionality as Shopify apps or theme features.
The Admin API is used by apps and back-office integrations to manage products, orders, inventory and customers, and GraphQL is now its primary interface. The Storefront API is a public, customer-facing GraphQL API for building headless storefronts, carts and custom buying experiences outside the Liquid theme.
Presentation belongs in the theme as sections, blocks or theme app extensions. Anything that stores data, reacts to webhooks or talks to other systems belongs in an app. Keeping business logic out of Liquid means it survives theme changes and redesigns, and it can be tested independently.
Plus adds checkout UI extensions on the information, shipping and payment steps, custom apps that use Shopify Functions, Shopify Flow automation with more advanced connectors, expansion stores for other regions and native B2B catalogs and company accounts. Whether Plus is worth it depends on which of these your store actually needs.
Metafields add structured fields to products, variants, customers and orders, while metaobjects model reusable content such as size guides or ingredient lists. Both can be edited in the admin, rendered in Online Store 2.0 themes through dynamic sources and read through the APIs, so custom data does not depend on apps.
